In 2019, Volcani International Partnerships worked in close partnership with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa to co-author an authoritative study which answered an essential question: how did Israel emerge as a world leader in agriculture and water management?
How did a small country plagued by water scarcity and an abundance of arid land emerge within decades as global leader in agricultural innovation boasting some of the highest yields in the world? And what lessons can be drawn by developing countries facing similar challenges? If Israeli ingenuity made our desert bloom, how can it be harnessed to do the same globally?
The study has now been shared throughout the world and presented at several international conferences in the presence of ministers, ambassadors, development banks, researchers and international foundations.
Last week our Executive Director, Danielle Abraham, joined the study's co-authors to discuss key findings during a webinar hosted by the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa.
